Amazon VPC (Virtual Private Cloud) lets you provision a private, isolated section of the AWS Cloud where you can launch AWS resources in a virtual network that you define. With Amazon VPC, you can define a virtual network topology that closely resembles a traditional network that you might operate in your own datacenter.
You can easily customize the network configuration for your Amazon VPC. For example, you can create a public-facing subnet for your webservers that has access to the Internet, and place your backend systems such as databases or application servers in a private-facing subnet with no Internet access. Amazon Route 53 is a highly available and scalable Domain Name System (DNS) web service.

Queries for your domain are automatically routed to the nearest DNS server, and thus answered with the best possible performance. Amazon Route 53 charges are based on actual usage of the service in two areas: Hosted Zones and Queries.
Amazon CloudFront is a content delivery web service. It integrates with other Amazon Web Services to give developers and businesses an easy way to distribute content to end users with low latency, high data transfer speeds, and no commitments.
Using a network of edge locations around the world, Amazon CloudFront caches copies of your static content close to viewers, lowering latency when they download your objects and giving you the high, sustained data transfer rates needed to deliver large popular objects to end users at scale.

AWS Direct Connect is a network service that provides an alternative to using the Internet to utilize AWS cloud services.

Email messages are charged at $0.10 per thousand. Data transfer charges apply. Amazon EC2 users can get started with SES for free.
Amazon SNS (Simple Notification Service) is a fast, flexible, fully managed push messaging service.
Amazon SNS lets you push messages to mobile devices or distributed services, via API or management console. You can seamlessly scale from a handful of messages per day to millions of messages or higher.
The first 1 million Amazon SNS requests per month are free, and $0.50 per 1 million Amazon SNS requests thereafter.
Amazon SQS (Simple Queue Service) provides a hosted queue for storing messages as they travel between computers, making it easy to build automated workflow between Web services.
Transmit any volume of data, at any level of throughput, without losing messages or requiring other services to be always available.
You pay $0.50 for every 1 million requests, plus data transfer charges for data transferred out of Amazon SQS.
Amazon Elastic Transcoder is media transcoding in the cloud. It is a fully managed service that makes it easy to convert media files in the cloud with scalability and at a low cost.
Convert, or “transcode,” media files from their source format into versions that will playback on devices like smartphones, tablets and PCs.
Pricing depends on the duration and resolution of the content that you output. Pricing for Standard Definition (SD) output starts at $0.015 per minute.
